An Enhanced Canadian Criminal Record Check is completed before any cleaner enters a client's home, with no exceptions. Identity is verified through OneID, which authenticates government-issued ID documents against a selfie taken at the time of verification. Every applicant also provides at least two prior client or employer references, and we call all of them.

Yes — two layers of coverage. Every cleaner is required to carry their own commercial general liability insurance with minimum $2 million coverage; Houmse collects each certificate before activation, verifies it's active, and tracks the expiry date. Houmse Inc. also carries its own $2 million commercial general liability policy (Northbridge Insurance) plus crime coverage that applies to every booking made through the platform.

No. Our cleaners bring all necessary supplies and equipment. Eco-friendly products are available at no extra cost.

If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we will re-clean it at no charge.
